This is for absolute beginners who have never done yoga before and would like to learn. We will move slowly through the basics of the sun salutation, teaching you from the ground up before moving into some of the more traditional yoga postures. A great foundational class for all new yoga students.

Vinyasa to Yin

A lovely invigorating all level Vinyasa class which slowly winds down into relaxing Yin. Vinyasa is a dynamic flow practice incorporating sun salutations with traditional yoga poses, each pose moves in relation with each breath. We will be working the core, building strength and flexibility in the upper and lower body through dynamic vinyasa movements before softening and cooling everything down with Yin. This class is for all levels of students. Music is played in class.

Introduction to Ashtanga Yoga - 5 week course

In this introductory course we will learn the techniques and foundational postures of the ashtanga primary series progressively, step by step, week by week. You will be encouraged to memorise the sequence as we go along, with the aim of starting a personal practice that you can do on your own by the end of the 5 weeks. Suitable for complete beginners - no experience of yoga is necessary as we will start from the beginning. This course also suits students who have some scattered experience of ashtanga but would like to start fresh and learn properly

In this 90 minute Freeflow Vinyasa class we will explore poses in more depth and challenge thresholds. This is a strong (but playful) class, so come prepared to sweat but know you can work at your own pace. Adjustments and alternatives are always offered to enable you to get the best out of your own practice on any given day. Come and wiggle with Laura every Thursday evening 7:30pm - 9pm. The class is open to all levels.

Introduction to Mysore style Ashtanga Yoga

Interested in developing a regular yoga practice to enhance your health and life ? Not sure about launching straight into the ongoing mysore self practice classes? Then this workshop is for you ! We will cover the basic principles and techniques underlying this method of yoga and explain it's origins and purpose. We will go through the beginning postures step by step, memorise them, and practice them . Finally we will do a mini class, mysore style, so that you understand exactly how it works and what to expect! Suitable for complete beginners to ashtanga yoga, as well as students with some experience who are interested in transitioning to mysore style classes £25 WHAT IS MYSORE? Mysore-style is the traditional way to learn Ashtanga Yoga. (As taught in Mysore, India, where the practice originated). Mysore classes allow for students to develop their own self-practice, learning and memorising the sequence bit by bit. It is the safest, most effective method of learning ashtanga yoga. The introduction to mysore workshop is aimed at complete beginners to ashtanga as well as students who have experience of led classes but would like to transition to self practice.
